Dräger X-zone® 5000 Portable Area Gas Monitoring System
Transforms a portable Drager X-am® 5000 or 5600 Personal Gas Detector (sold separately) into a fixed system area monitoring device. Place a detector inside the X-zone 5000 and place it in an area where gas hazards exist. X-zone Monitors establish wireless communication with one another, allowing for the monitoring of large work areas. Note: The X-zone 5000 is an extremely complex system. Please call the experts at Gen-El to discuss your application and learn more about how the X-zone 5000 works.
A 360° green LED ring indicates that the air is free of toxic or combustible gases. The ring lights up in red when one of up to six harmful gases is detected, and sounds a loud 120dB alarm.
The X-zone 5000 with an integrated sampling pump is intended for single-unit monitoring of confined spaces or hard-to-reach areas from a distance of up to 150’ (45m).
Up to 25 X-zone’s can be daisy chained to create a large perimeter wireless fenceline around pipelines or industrial tanks. In the case of gas detection, the signal is transmitted to all units, which flash green/red, and the device closest to the source, which flashes in red only.
Available with 12 Ah battery for up to 60 hours of continuous operation, or with a 24 Ah battery for up to 120 hours of continuous operation.
Each X-zone can be configured to activate external equipment like traffic lights, lamps, and alarms.
Approved for use in explosive hazard areas (Class I, Div 1 or Zone 0).
